Summer School AniMove 2013

This Summer School provides you with profound knowledge of remote sensing and species distribution and animal movement within conservation.
It includes hand-on exercises ranging from land cover and species distribution analysis to modeling of animal movement. 

Procedures and Course Costs

Applications will be accepted until end of March, successful applicants will be informed by mid of April. Even though a big proportion of the costs are funded by the Global Change Ecology study program and MPI additional fees of 850 EUR (for non-students higher fees apply) are required to cover all costs. After receiving the letter of acceptance, 50% of the fees (425 EUR) need to be payed by 1. of May. 100% of the fees have to be paid by 1. of August. Any cancellation after the first of August will result in 0% refund. Cancellation prior 1. of June will result in no refund of the prepayment of 50% (425 EUR) of the full fees. Sponsorship may be available for exceptional applications and students from developing countries.
Within the 100% fees (850 EUR) all expenses regarding accomodation and normal breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided including tee and coffee. Any additional beverages are not covered as well as any food items ordered individually. The shared accomodation will be within the MPI guest houses close to the campus.

Deadlines

Application dead-line:
March 31st, 2013 (if earlier application and confirmation is needed due to scholarships, please contact us at summerschool@global-change-ecology.de)
Letter of acceptance:
April 15th, 2013: the successful applicants will be informed
Payment deadline:May 1st, 2013: 50% prepayment of fees
